Thank you for so much detail, RPG
Even though I don't have a PC (Died in the line of duty playing xcom apocalypse, holy be thy game) after 6 years, I still want others to try and enjoy it with less bugs then advertised from the start of this post.
This bug is weird though. Sometimes it hits certain pc players and not others. This is indication it is probably their setup on their pc. For example, i played this on windows 11 pc and only had some slowdown in that dino fort. I think in the whole game i had only one crash. This guy videos i watch online called JD IN RED has had so many crashes in the game though. Again, this is probably a hardware build issue of certain pc's not being good to play this game.
or OBS was interfering with the game. cause the guy's videos would use OBS to record and or stream with
Could be OBS. I do not use it myself, so i have no idea if it interferes with games or not. The only way to confirm if it that specific software is if multiple people who used it reported on here that it does not work.
BTW, an update on this is INTEL just released a new micro-code yesterday to try to fix it some more..but i say too little too late
https://wccftech.com/intel-0x12b-microcode-patch-fix-14th-13th-gen-cpu-instability-issues/
People im sure have been using their 13/14 chip gen pc's to play games, and this only fixes the problem, not the damage already done to the pc. Exactly how many fixes does INTEL need to do to fix this issue? This looks alot like incompetence from INTEL for allowing faulty chips out in the first place..sigh.
Again, i am warning all my friends do not buy any new pc's with intel 13 or 14 chip generations on them as they are faulty to begin with. Then INTEL blamed the motherboard issue. This is all intel's fault for trying to show off how powerful their chips are by putting the voltage on them too high. Basically, they overclocked them on purpose to try to show off how powerful they are. Yea, and look what happened..
I was having the same exact problem it was crashing every 2 minutes like clockwork I went into adrenaline as I use all AMD and noticed hyper RX was applied to the game as is the usual settings I disabled everything a retro game doesn't need fluid motion it doesn't need XYZ I tried everything prior to this I installed the 4 Gig patch I ran as administrator I tried compatibility mode I tried reinstalling I verified the files I did everything I disabled every single thing actively trying to visually change the game fluid frames HDR every single thing I disabled anti-lag I've been running it borderless at 1440 for days without a single crash whereas prior to this it was 100% unplayable I really hope this helps also noticed zero difference between having all those settings turned on to off
Square just does not know how to fix broken games, dead topic please don't bump this thread anymore unless you have the same issues. Don't want to promote more bad behavior on here.
