Connection Timeout 4-CT

This is something which really has to be adressed, I bought this game as a gift for a friend to play coop but it simply doesn't work. Connection Timeout 4-CT is what we both get to see after watching at a black screen when joining each other with the code. We've tried many if not all of the troubleshoot solutions but none of them worked so far. It's been already a whole day spend to figure this out

Can you both try if launching Steam in admin mode makes a difference?

We've tried and seen all your replies too. We tried again just now with the solutions but same error appears. I've also uninstalled the game and removed every single file of the game in all folders, and I've removed the regedit keys related to the game. Checked the firewall too and still not working. I've done the installation right and everything and expect the game to be working, cuz we can do other tenths of multiplayer games with no problem

I tried the link posted by Morri and also running steam in Admin mode with DonVergo just now. Same problems unfortunately.

Update: Tried again with DonVergo and we found (possibly) another fix for this. We both changed our timezone to match his timezone and finally got connected. We also did the above link and post suggestions.

Yeah we fixed it by having Seth joining my session after changing his timezone to mine..
Shouldn't be happening if you ask me
