using XMP for RAM overclocking shouldn't cause any issues.
hmm... Do you overclock your CPU occasionally? This question is just out of curiosity, trying to understand why you would buy an extremely expensive pre-selected CPU capable for high-end overclocking and then running it in stock mode xD
Okay, I have one more arrow in my quiver:
I noticed you are running Corsair ICUE software. Are you using it just for RGB control or do you also happen to have a Corsair AiO and do the performance and cooling control with the ICUE software?
If any possible - could you try to totally deactivate the ICUE software (temporarily and only for science) and try if you still get the errors?
Also - just for science and just temporarily - could you please try and run your RAM in stock mode?
Oh, and if possible, could you tell me a bit more about your system, such as
- AiO for CPU cooling and which brand
- how many fans in your system case, also which type and brand is your system case
- how many storage devices do you have and what type? M.2? SSD? Both? How many?
- RAM sticks - RGB yes no? Description and Manufacturer? How many RAM sticks?
It would be really nice if you could tell me as much as possible about your system.
I'm trying to think of a possible reason for your issues, other than corrupted system files, which are one of the most likely and also one of the most frequent reason for issues such as yours. But you already ran sfc /scannow and it didn't show any corrupted or missing system files, so that one is from the table.
The error message you quoted in one of your latest posts hint at issues with the GPU RAM which made me think you might be running your GPU in overclocked mode, which you didn't do as you said ...
phew ... At the risk of asking stupid questions: Have you tried removing your GPU from the PCIe slot and putting it back in? Have you checked that the slot latch is engaged? Are all cables and power plugs firmly and correctly connected to the GPU? Did you use the 8-PIN PCIe connectors and not an 8-PIN EPS connector by mistake? Are all power cables for the GPU also correctly connected to the power supply? Are all the plugs in the correct sockets?
Please forgive me if some of my questions sound silly - you wouldn't believe the crazy and sometimes completely stupid errors I've seen in my time doing hardware support. So please, don't take it personal, no offend meant or the like - I just need to ask and I hope I find something that will help us with your issues.
But if you pressed shift + tab while ingame and no tabs are showing, then that isn't your problem either. Just wanted to make sure.
Yes i saw that problem as well, i had few times with like 5 tabs opened, even not notecing that, so if someone clicks like 100 times i beleve there could be starting some ram usage, but not at this situation.
Corsair Commander ,
AIO - Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO RGB,
RAM, Corsair Vengeance 32 DDR5 6500mhz 2 sticks
PSU corsair HX1000i
Keyboard, corsair as well
Mouse still corsair.
and 11 FANS linked to ICUE. (no girly leds or so)
I can try to play without it.
3 NVME corsair MP600 pro 500gb lpx 1 system 2 raid Steam
Case again corsair.. D6000 or something
Creative EA5 soundcard.
Windows 11 64 latest build /updates
Asus Rtx 4080 Pins in place Not in OC mode. And Yes im having also a lot of "out of memmory errors now"
MB ASUS z790-a gaming wifi.
I think thats form technical side answers all.
I tryed to remove and puting back Ram sticks, as yes sometime just like that physical interaction can solve problems.
Havent took out GPU though.
Second game what i play a lot is ARMA 3 and that game is buggy as well sometimes. But No errors any kind on that game, as well os DayZ or Baldurs Gate 3.
I do CPU overclocking in Bios from safe sade what manufacturer allows. But aside from that i wanted 6 GHZ cpu. :)
I admire your effort on writhng thous questions. Thans for your time.
Thank you for the detailed information, I really appreciate it.
If you ever get bored of your system and are looking for someone to throw it at - drop me a line. xD
Kidding, of course ...
I'm going into thinking mode now, this might take a while ;)
The worst case would be that your VRAM is corrupted. You wouldn't happen to have another GPU somewhere that you could try to see if you get the same error with another GPU?
Just a quick idea ...
I'll think about your problem and get back to you with new ideas - hopefully.
Probably not the issue, but you never know and doesn't hurt to try.
After defult timing apply on RAMs timing. Pc went into BSOD.
So after todays all dissasambling.. I got to conclusion that my cpu is faulty.
So now i cant even boot in system. And errors from Medival Dynsaty was like first nails in cofin.
so ye...
Outch, that's the last thing one want to think about in such situation.
To be honest, I almost thought it might be something hardware related as nothing of the usual first aid measures showed any effect, quite the opposite, things went worse.
Very sorry to hear that. Could you already confirm for sure it's the CPU which is dying? Could as well be the board.
My first thoughts were about your GPU dying or dead VRAM modules. But since your system doesn't even boot up any more ...
I don't have a picture of your mainboard in my head right now - but there should be some sort of debug LEDs or maybe even a debug numbers display. Either of both should show you 100% sure which part in your system is broken.
Again, very sad to hear. Especially a KS CPU is always a great loss even more so if it was a good one.
I hope you can get a replacement for your CPU soon and all your previous issues are solved by then.
Yes im 100% positive its CPU.
I cant install windows all leds are ok in bios is Ok. After starting install wizard for windows its starts to get into BSOD and reboots.
So i took all pc apart with motherboard only and integrated video. No luck.
Had a previous motherbors whos in selling Asus z690-F gaming Wifi, almost as the one i use but older chipset.
The same symptoms. and previously cpu and mb worked flawlesly. So CPU cant handle something anyymore. And used diferent RAM's as well so. CPU goes for warranty, and i supose it will be about 60 days to get a new one.
Fingers crossed it will turn out well, eventually.
Took my system back. And everything works perfekt. No Errors or anything on Medival Dynsasty.
100% hardvare isue that was.
Thank you for fast replays and help.
Cheers!
Have fun with the game and whenever you have questions or issues, we are here. :)
Get him some ice cream as a reward for letting you "borrow" his CPU :)
