It might be painfull to implement because of the customizable days and seasons, unless it would change per season which would be pretty weird.
Realistically speaking, im not excpecting it ofcourse, but overall would be nice to have more customization options, hair, hoods, clothes etc.
...it is obvious that the game still lacks so many basic mechanics, and more customization aesthetics not for the fact to be "real-life accurate" because it doesn't, if we go to that place, well.... what a dark and creepy no mans land to be in...; it is just a game at the end of the day and a game is made to entertain you, but more for the fact that the game as many others of the genera it kinda lack to give a good complete and proper gameplay offert.
Still some aspechs of "Kingdome Come Deliverence" are not so great in the gameplay but still is a good try. Like a proper really thank you for trying.
But Medieval Dynasty, it feels like "I hate Kingdome Come, im gonna make my own game, but also kinda feel stuck in the DayZ Standalone alpha not finish but finish realm". Just saying... xD
While Kingdome Come and Medieval Dynasty take place in the same region in the middleages and the visual immersion is very similar, Kingdom Come is a full blown rpg that's quite heavy on combat. While Medieval Dynasty is more of a city sim combined with lite rpg and and survival elements, focusing on a peaceful non-combat peasants experience.
Comparing apples and oranges basically.
- better animations for the character, when running, crouching, have you seen how he crouches and takes out the bow to hunt? oh man it gives me so much cringe to see that animation...
- select your hours of sleep and the time you want to wake up.
- Interior decorations for the houses, total customization so that no house looks the same and depends merely on the imagination of the player.
- and eliminate that annoying square foundation that many games have, for example the crops, why can I put fences, my own house or a road in the inclination or axis that I want but the crops have that base of squares foundation like Anno 1404 that you can't rotate them or put them as you want and you have to follow the imperialism method of squares, which is as the square say and not as you want..
Many of the aspects you mention would be easy to implement in a game without NPCs and pathfinding. Many people (including myself) have a wish to be able to fast forward time, but then the field workers need a constant flowing time to do their work, and they work in "real time". The houses are quite simple and similar because of the NPCs, so they are able to walk in and find their beds or workplaces. Same goes for rotating crops. They work there, and they need a certain grid so they can do their work. There's still enough work to do for the AI of NPCs as we are able to place our houses and workplaces wherever we want, and whenever we place a fence or some other obstacle they need to figure out an alternative route. If you have 100 NPCs that's quite a lot of figuring out. What I wanted to say is, games without NPCs that you hire and assign yourself have a lot more freedom than this one.
