Can't exactly use them as walkways. They aren't like the ones in the other villages that look like another type of pathway.
Aww man. I just realised after posting this that you can adjust the height and sink them into the ground.
That's right, there are also some very beautiful wooden paths in the villages. But this one can also be found on the map.
edit for a tip: remove the door > change the blueprint of the door to a wall > place your platform close to the house > change the blueprint back to the door and rebuild it. (don't forget to bring the inhabitants back into the house afterwards!)

which is a good start but still not the same like the planks etc. in other villages. Same as it's not possible to place plants to improve the look of your village.

I'm really with you if you want more options. I just think it's important to use the available options and think about how they could be better. For example, the gradients of the mountains/hills are very different and we could use individual floor tiles in more varied ways if we could change the angle of the gradient. If that is technically feasible, it would be a great feature.
