They could also put an importance on sleep quality. Sleeping on the hard ground without a sleeping bag in the winter should at least have some repercussions.
I know (from the game hints) that how much sleep heals you is supposed to depend on the length of sleep, but that wasn't implemented yet.
Before the co-op update, if I remember correctly you didn't regain any health when you slept at a campfire, only when you slept in a house.
For my RP i walk instead of running for an hour ingame (more if it's winter) after sleeping next to a campfire outside due to being all sore and stiff, but it would be neat if there were something implemented ingame.
