Game crashes when I try to ride my horse
The title says it all. Since the latest update my game crashes every time when I try to ride my horse and I dont know why. I have tried some things to fix that issue. Installed the newest driver for my GPU, checked the game files via Steam ... still the same issue. Everything else runs smoothly ingame, it's just this little bug.

Devs have tried your save, as your character with your mount, but they can't reproduce the issue. No crash when they mount up.

So this is extremely bizar since you don't have any other issues.

Just for the hell of it, can you try the following anyway?:

- restart your pc (yes, sounds like a stupid suggestion, but we had people before reporting weird issues when their pc had been running for weeks without having been shut down)

- verify the game files to make sure nothing is corrupt: right click Medieval Dynasty in the list of games in your Steam library, pick 'installed files' and then 'verify integrity of game files'

- update graphics card drivers

- change to DX11 ingame : settings - graphics - rendering mode - DX11 (Don't forget to accept changes at the bottom)

- try changing the windowed mode ingame to fullscreen windowed: <escape> - settings - graphics - Window mode - Windowed fullscreen

- limit your fps ingame to 60 : settings - graphics - Frame rate limit
(make sure to accept changes at the bottom)

- make sure that your antivirus/firewall isn't blocking any game files

I know you tried some already, but can't hurt to try again.

If that doesn't fix anything. Can you maybe try if saddling up another mount and trying to ride that one works? Maybe it's the one mount specifically?

If still nothing; try chaning the keybind to do with the mount. Maybe it has something to do with that?

I also send you my old Valley save to try out: https://we.tl/t-e5eAMs9SZI No horse here, but I have a donkey you can try to mount up to to see that crashes for you as well. Racimir is standing right next to it.

Are you playing on the Valley map or on the Oxbow? And if on Oxbow: are you solo or in co-op?
Also; could you try opting into the testing branch 2.2.0.6 to see if that fixes it? As they did fix some other issues related to mounts.

1. right-click on Medieval Dynasty in your Steam Library
2. Choose the Properties option in the drop-down menu
3. In the Properties window, select the “Betas” Tab
5. Pick "Public_testing" next to 'beta participation'

The 2.2.0.6 version will now be ready for download in Steam.
Hello again and thank you for the fast response.
So ... I play on the Oxbow map and I play Co-Op most the time. Sometimes solo.
I tried the Public Testing Beta and the game keeps crashing as soon as I try to ride the horse...

Does it also crash when you play solo, or only when you are the client player in a co-op game?
Both, sadly. :steamsad:
Could you upload your savegame for the devs to have a look? (the solo-one)

You can find your savegame in %LocalAppData%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames.
To upload it, just use a site like wetransfer.com to create a link for you that you can paste here.

Comment above yours.
Do both of you play on Windows btw?
Hey! Sorry, I was off for some days.
Yes I play on Windows 10.
I will try your suggestions now and will call back if anything has changed.
YES! It worked. I really can't tell what exactly did the trick but:

I updated my GPU driver again, restarted my PC, changed the ingame settings to DX11 and limited FPS to 60 and BAM! Now everything works smoothly!

Alright, I guess we found a fix for that! Thank you a lot!
