Report a translation problem
You are forced to make a new character whenever the game can't match your SteamID with the SteamID saved for the character in your savegame.
Are you online on Steam and playing the game the normal way through Steam (and not directly from the medieval_dynasty.exe)? Firewall/router is not blocking anything?
When was the last time you still had your character?
Which version 2.0.1.0 are you playing? The normal live version or are you opted into one of the beta versions?
I will let you know if it happens again and restarting doesn't fix it.

Could you upload your savegame so the devs can have a look?
You can find your savegame in %LocalAppData%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames.
To upload it, just use a site like wetransfer.com to create a link for you that you can paste here (no need to make an account on wetransfer, just click the 'i just want to send files' link.)

Are you sure you are playing from the same Steam account as you did when you made that save?
In any case, for the game to match you with the right character, you need to be logged in the same way when you load the game as when you saved it.
It's not a good idea to play offline or to lauch the .exe directly instead through Steam, as some features will not work properly, so if I was you I would just start a new save, this time launching the game properly through Steam.
Edit: or you could try this one: https://we.tl/t-mYzCXghz3O ; devs manually changed the SteamID linked to the character to the one you posted with now. Let me know if that one doesn't work.
