So broken, we can't even finish the tutorial. Wow.
I bought two copies of this game and am playing it co-op with my wife. In the tutorial missions we have to 'light the campfire inside the sick house and roast all the meat'. We did this but the game doesn't register that we have. It's the correct house, the fire has been ignited, the four pieces of uncooked meat from the chicken you harvest are cooked.

To be honest, I'm stunned the game is so broken you can't even complete the tutorial before a game ending bug kicks in. Anyone know how to get a steam refund for the copy I gifted to my wife?

Load up the save in co-op mode but don't have your wife join the game yet. Then run outside of town and kill an animal, skin it, and cook it....shouldn't matter what fire you cook it in, even one of the little campfires should work.

that should advance the quest and then you're wife can join the game and you can play like normal.

It's one of those weird bugs that they've fixed, but for some reason is still causing issues for a few people here and there.

I think i saw another bug report of this. Seems the quest doesn't progress when the co-op player does it, but it does for the host.
This used to work fine, so I think the bug snuck in with (one of) the latest patch(es).

Hmmm, my partner and I started playing coop. I am the host and he did all the quests without any problem for us. I have no idea if it makes any difference but I did click the listen option as soon as it came up and we're playing on the test branch.

Thanks for the help ladies and gents. Sorry for the rant but it's so frustrating to finally get some time together with the wife to enjoy something, only to find it doesn't work. Cheer.

Yep - I was the one who mentioned a nearly identical issue.. but not only in turtorial it was the main / side quest - system

@Morri - I've got a hypotheses:
Could it be possible, that players in the same LAN / WiFi-Network - for example Bloodsplatter and his wive or me and my mate - and sharing one internet connection encounter this issue?
It looks pretty like that. As I mentioned in my post the other two players, not part of the LAN / WiFi, don't have any quest issues while playing online coop

That's an interesting theory. I'm not technical enough about network things to know, but i'll pass it on to the devs; might be a clue!
