Playing as Heir
When the heir comes of age and takes over the village, must he look to another village for a spouse, or may he choose a bride from within the village he inherits?

Either, as long as there is an available eligible nice girl :steamhappy: Just get to know her. He won't automatically take over Racimir must hand it over or die. Your kid can marry and have a son even without taking over. Just move him and the girl into the same house like any npc.

Eligible women from your own village work as well. I find it fun to play match maker for him and already decide on one of the girls being born in the village for him when they are both still children.
I usually marry him off to the first girl born the same year as him. I just hope she behaves herself and isn't a snob.

On one of my games he had zero choice... Just me, the missus and another couple.. So he had to marry the other couples daughter (yes I did have to reload 3 times to force them to have a girl.)
LOL, so it's not just enough to force your child into a pre-arranged marriage, you also have to stand in the next house to get what you want and when you want it.

I'm glad the old ways have changed.

I have one girl a year younger than heir whose stats are great for a spouse. I have been hoping that when she gains another year or year and a half my heir can begin to woo her. (Racimer has retired and heir is in charge now .)
And if you take control of Racimir's descendant, can any additional children Racimir has marry the children of his successor?

I don't think the game keeps track of relations other than parent/child, grandparent/grandchild or brother/sister. So I think it will be possible.
