Removing rocks
I noticed that there are discussions on how to remove large rocks .
I found that if you build an orchard or field square around it and then destroy the square with a hammer the rock is now gone.

It sure would be nice if it could be changed to something that is collectable. Small trees that haven't grown can be bulled out as sticks, why not make the bigger rocks on the ground be removable via a pickax or shovel

"Jaunitta" also demontrated how using the pathing tool to either side of large rocks removes them. Which is easier to place than a full orchard size square.

However it would be good like tbagger98 says to be able to harvest the rocks with a pickaxe or shovel

Rocks aren't interactable like stumps are. They are just terrain. They would need to make them interactable, which may or may not be possible.

Each orchard or field square is not that large (it is only big enough to plant one tree or patch of vegetables) so it's easy to destroy once you have used it to remove a rock. Using the road method to remove a rock doesn't allow you to build over it but the orchard or field square does.

You can also destroy a road after using it to remove a rock.

Some rocks actually are "interactable" and can be mined. On the downside those rocks cannot be removed.
