Animals crossing Bridge
Oxbow Map: My village is near the water fall. I have a cow, sheep and goat barn to the west near the creek. I have these structures fenced on 3 sides. The creek side did not require a fence as the animals did not go into the water. I do have a player created bridge here to the other bank and I have a storage building on top of the hill.
After the Autumn Update, and getting rid of the bandit FORT, I noticed the animals walking into the water, around the ends of the fence, across the bridge....... and up the hill to graze. When it was evening time, they came down the hill, across the bridge and into their respective shelters.

Is anyone else having this happen?
Why are the animals recognizing and crossing the bridges.... but not the NPC's??

It just proves how much smarter animals are than people. :)

While not realistic, it makes sense within the game. Animals have never and will never have a pathfinding preference for roads. They are point A to B as short as plausible. While humans have long since used roads exclusively. The devs simply have some pathfinding logic to round out now.

Agreed. Actually with the NPC's running into each other and other things... there is more than just the pathfinding logic that is missing. After a bit of play I have found that I like this. The cows are going into the stream and doing the grazing action which makes it looks like they are getting a drink. Looks a little more realistic.

My cow shed has 2 doors, 1 large one in the front and a small one at the back for my convenience.
The cows exit through the front door and walk around the fencing protecting my fields, which is quite a long way, and go back in a file through the back door.
A caravan of cows circling my settlement.
Will get a screen shot and post it.
