It's not very early game, but the apiary is a great unlock. Needs nothing but a worker and the honeycomb is produced very fast and sells for a high rate. Flax seed used to be my go-to, but the honey is way better. Also good for mead production.
Very Very early - Flat Bread - easy to unlock and does not require plates or bowls, you can initially focus on buying wheat and wheat grain.... convert it in the barn to flower.... a few re-usable buckets that you fill at the well and you got a experience gain machine..... at level 2 kitchen and BARTER 2 activated - Cheese, also no plates or bowls required.... buy milk and sour milk convert to cheese (added benefit of buckets), this will fund your ore and bar purchasing - Smity II - bronze knives and eventually Iron Knives. Convert all flax stalks to Simple Hoods and all wool to Fine hoods
Late game - Mead to Potion of possibilities is great.
This is because the game has a build limit and honey production requires one worker.
Yes Honey is fantastic ( mid to late game)- it does not require "feed" one worker and wala.... limited to Spring and Summer though.... Autumn - use worker/s to make mead and harvest mushrooms..... winter make potion of possibilities.....
Level skills in Farming, Production, Extraction, Diplomacy and Survival....
The limitation comes in selling all you have made....
If you can't sell all that you made, then you haven't balanced well your production output with your market selling.
Honey is gathered all year round.
Honey is produced at a vastly lower rate in Autumn and Winter.
Every Market Stall is limited to 1380 coins in sales per day and vendor only has a limited amount of money..... If you focus your build around making money, as this one was, you tend to over produce...
Only in winter, when the apiary is producing at 25%, giving 0.3 markets per production worker, can it be beat. The 2nd highest I've found is the elite armor piece which can give 0.5 markets per production worker.
During autumn, the apiary produces at 50%, giving 0.6 markets per production worker, which can't be beat.
If you are producing more than you can sell, then your worker force is not balanced and you have too many producing and not enough selling. It's not hard to over produce. Just don't build a market stall.
All I know is my 27 villagers has skilled up every aspect to 10, their money in the resource storage is 1056863 and I have 1002486 on me in year 13 (I might have equalised the money at some point - old build, can't remember). Mostly 100% Mood.
Almost forgot - most importantly, it seems that I did not get bored..... now just to get to Play as an Heir.......grrrr. Hence the need for re-purpose while the bugger grows up... LOL
Retirement village..... LOL .... will keep the old location just for goat cheese and wine.... who wants to drink water after retirement....LOL
