Kings Quest and Villagers
So..I just noticed that completing the King's quest when your king is bad will reduce your villager's mood hence reducing their productivity as a result...appears to be permanent as well...I have them all in stone houses with insulation and plank roof and decked it out with decorations, they work in buildings that they are good at, but cant get their approval to go above 80...damn

anyone know how I can get more approval/mood from my villagers?

It's not permanent. Eventually your king will die and be replaced, and bonuses or penalties you got because of him (to taxes and villagers mood) will reset again.

Villagers happiness depends on:
- their house walls and roof made of the best material (stone and roof tiles)
- their house being insulated
- decorations in their house (capped up to 10) like the ceiling, floor and wall decoration
- them having a spouse
- them having a child
- them having maximum skill level for the job they are currently doing
- some random seasonal events
- quests done for a good (bonus to mood) or a bad king (penalty to mood)

But 100 is really hard to achieve, and more of a bonus than something you absolutely HAVE to get.

If you have an evil king: Once you get your crest, ignore the herald from that point forward. Your tax reduction bonus and morale debuff will eventually reduce to 0% again.
