Oxbow Map Quest: Entangled in Darkness (spoilers)

In the past I had some question chains in each town. But this time only Klonica. In the past I have gotten a multi-season story quest in the other two towns.

Consequently I only have one NPC to choose from to replace the former Castelann --Neidan.

I'm not sure what has happened to those other quests, but Neidan is not really the guy I would like to choose. So I have yet to complete that quest.

Is this just the way it is? Or did the quests expire because I didn't jump right on them? I'm curious.

There is actually a quest in every village which, once you have completed it, gives you a choice in this last quest.

Can you check again to see if you can find any open quests that you have forgotten in your diary? You could also wait a few more seasons to see if a quest pops up in the other villages.

Like Ookapia said; each village has its own quest chain that unlocks when you do enough of the single quests for them. Once you then complete the quest chain in at least one of the villages, you get the follow-up quest chain about the castellan in Piastovia.

So I guess this time around you only did enough single quests (those are randomly selected) in Klonica to open the quest chain there?
