Mother Knows Best quest - help please... [potential spoiler]

Hey, so, i'm trying to do a quest Mother Knows Best, it mentions I should search near bridge south of the town I got it in in Oxbow, so I did, found some discarded stuff, followed trail into swamp, found dead wolves and another clue, followed further, found a little girl and a hunter/bandit hurt in a small camp, but talking to them does not progress the quest and it still says "Check the area near the bridge" despite I did many times already and there's nothing more.

How do I advance this quest?

Have you checked the area whilst pressing the ALT key - inspection mode sometimes highlights things that you visually missed, especially on some of the newer Oxbow quests

I think you may need to go back and examine the items on the bridge again before the quest can proceed.
