What is the best set of equipment?
I can tolerate a certain degree of heat and cold intolerance, but I want to minimize the damage I suffer as much as possible.

In the first few years I put up with losing health to cold (keep a supply of broadleaf plantains handy, use a torch, go to sleep) and needing to drink a lot because of heat. I picked up a light hat as loot early on, and a couple of warm hats, and made it a priority to grow flax and get a sewing hut to make better clothes for myself (the "winter" range unlocks with Sewing Hut 1 and only requires fur and leather), but even so I think it was year 3 or 4 before I got a sewing hut. I also spent a skill point on Insensitive - but only the one, because I reckoned Strong as an Oak was more important.

I don't think I bought any clothes apart from the odd thing needed for a quest.
POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT
For me in summer it's the noble tunic and rest light items.
Fall through spring it's excellent everything but noble hat cuz the excellent hat looks dopey. Spring and fall I take off the gloves but you don't need to.

This is end game gear but if lucky can be looted. Otherwise my character whines and moans in deep winter and summer, now he's quiet as can be. Holding a torch early on is great for cold. Just going inside and eating food for temp relief is some help but it's hot in them hills.

Excellent gear also gives decent armor for bandits so it is multifunctional.
