The sickle of contention

So how exactly game wants me to resolve this issue? I am at the point, where i get permission to search dude's house, but nothing there, nor behing\around, or anywhere in the village. Does the game really wants me to run on the other side of the map to buy a new sickle for hefty sum and then back, just to finish 1 tiny quest?

The sickle should actually be in the house. I know from my translation file that there is a dialogue for it. We'll double check.

Should be on the trave, which is one of the cross members for the loft. According to the translation file, so try looking up

The sickle can be found in the man's house. That way you don't have to pay anything for it. You can also pay the full price or lie to the knob about "reprimanding" your wife and pay a little less.

As for the precise location of the sickle the Mole is correct. Although I would love for that info to be put under the "spoiler" option.

Okay, havent look on the loft tho, as @TheMole mentioned

The man is inside the small hut with a house on each side, looking at the hut it is the 1 on the left.
It is easy to go to the right one where there is no sickle to be found.

I have not found the sickle yet even using my torch to help light the interior so I can search the roof. I don't see a loft, only the straw roof.

Found it. It is in the loft of the house on the left of the hut where you first meet Walbert.

I also have not found any sickle in his house - I really really looked too.

I found it - almost impossible to see...lol. I went back and looked again way after I already completed the quest - so now I have it in my inventory, I can not use it - can not drop it, and can not store it. Good thing it weighs nothing.
