How many days do you guys play per season?
So I just started playing the game, only about an hour into it, built my first house and working on starting quests like build a spear etc. I started looking through some of the settings, and it looks like we can adjust the amount of days are in a season?

It looks like we can do anywhere from 1 to 30 days per season. And the default is 3 days.

Is that what most people play on? 3 days per season? That seems kind of fast doesn't it?

What did you guys set your days per season to for your playthrough?
How many days per season would you guys suggest for a new first time player?

30 days. as you can sleep at anytime to go to the next season and having 30 days gives you alot of time to ♥♥♥♥ around in the current season.

3 days felt ridiculously short, but I can understand why it's the default. 5 days felt about right for pacing, but I wanted it a little long, so I bumped it up to 7 days. After 80 hours of playing, my heir is only 2 years old.

I've never played more than 3 days. That's what it was balanced for and was the only option in first stages of EA. I now play on 2 day seasons.

It's a dynasty game. Meant to be played over generations. So no rush to get everything done in the first 5, 10 or even 20 years. I play a very slow build game and 2 days is more than enough time.

There are some who play on one day seasons.

I personally play on 30 day seasons cause i like the slow pace. Later in the game i'll probably use the 'sleep til next season' once I've done everything i wanted to do that season, but for now I find enough things to do each day in my own slow pace.

Downside is that getting to the next generation takes a really long time irl. So as a first time player, i would probably recommend setting it to 7-10 days or something. 3 is imo definitely too short in the beginning when you are still getting the hang of everything.

I started with 7-days seasons, iirc, then reduced the length the more autonomy/self-sufficiency my village was reaching.
Atm, I'm at 3 days. I'm thinking about reducing to 2 but that would give me less margin of action if I take too much time doing anything, so I sleep more at night and stay at 3.

I settled for 4 days per season after trying 5 - this was before you could alter it once started and in EA versions. now you can skip to end of season after 3 days you might as well set extra and make sure you don't expire quests unnecessarily. I am finding I use all 4 of mine nearly every season even in Y19.

5 seems to remove the rush but not too long. you can mine do quests as well village stuff with some time to do what ever. obviously it just matters for seasonal things like farming and herbologist(or what you personally gather) gathering. the longer seasons you could probably maintain very large farms and gather a lot more so so 5 i feel is about right nothing too crazy.

I've generally opted for 5 day seasons, don't have to rush, plenty of time to take things steady and smell the roses. Of course I tend to be heavily into farming with around 10 10x8 fields plus a few smaller ones for veg and add in several orchards. That takes 4 or 5 farmers 5 days to manage in the busy seasons.

4 days works for me

2 days is best. i just build little farms for vegetable soup, the rest are cherry tree. I always look forward for Summer. I am on my 3rd generation and collecting Axe from the quest "I am Vengeance" Do not do 1 day per season since there are quest you need to wait for the next day. I plant different crops so my farmers can work every season

I set mine to 4 days, feels pretty good to me.

3 days seems too fast for me, I often fail quests simply because I dont have time to get to the quest giver and I feel rushed every minute of the game. I plan to try 5 days next time.

Why wait until next time? You can switch it anytime in the settings.
It seems short at first if you are trying to do missions or the story and build/level. After a while 3 days is too long. Like you can get the entire season done on the morning of day 1. Thing is that the "story" isnt crucial. You can do it any time. So you dont have to waste your time running all over the map. Get established. Then spend a day doing missions/story and another doing chores.
