The village I played the longest only made it to 19 years old and I have never played with my heir. I give up when my village is self sufficient and, more importantly, looks pretty.
Both started in early access.
1th: started shortly after early access release, played at the former standard of 3 days per season till year 22, “lost” the saves to the steam cloud but learned the games mechanics.
2nd: Started over at version 0.4.x with 5 days per season to have a more slower pace, enjoy each season longer, and to be able to let farmers do more field work, e.g. bigger fields.
Reached yesterday year 19, but I slept only a couple of times, usually decorating at night.
This is slowly changing as I get my inner hectic and “fear of missing out” better under control. :)
I will start over one day to experience all the story changes and additions, performance improvements, etc.
But I have something in mind with my current village, that I first want to finish - trying to keep up with the devs, adding constantly new content.
Third heir might change location of the village, as he wants to expand and he is impatiently waiting for his father to die.
