any way to put things on shelves?

i made myself a clay pot with a daisy in it but i cant really see how to put it down anywhere.

Yes. Go to your inventory and press X to drop the item. It should land in the spot that your 'line of sight dot' is. If it doesn't land quite how you want it to. Instead of hitting E to pick it up. hold E to grab it. Then you can try to reposition it. It takes a bit of practice, Might want to make your seasons longer before you get into decorating, LOL
