Farmers and bags

My farmers are lacking bags, even if there are several bags in the Ressource Storage and in the storage chest at the barns.
What am I doing wrong?

Ah, sorry then. I read somewhere the simple bags don't work for villagers, must have been outdated info then. (I do my farming myself since i find it relaxing, so haven't tried assigning villagers to it yet)

Farmers will use both 'bags' and 'simple bags'. The advantage of supplying them with 'bags' rather than simple bags is that 'bags' last longer, but they require both linen and leather to manufacture

For future events, if your farmers (or any other citizens) aren't doing their jobs, check the management tab, then the building they're working in. It will tell you what they're lacking.

As for the bags thing, they weigh next to nothing. I just have my hunters bring back leather on a daily basis besides meat, which allows you to make a ton of simple bags in no-time. Think my barn has 200 simple bags in it which lasts them for ages. For fertilizer I just put all my effort at the start towards unlocking the pigsty, to get a bunch of pigs n turn manure into fertilizer. Never run out of the stuff.

Currently, my farmers are not using the 'bags'. I have about a dozen 'bags' in my Resource Storage. But when my farmers ran out of 'simple bags', it showed that they needed tools. I made a few more 'simple bags' and they were good to go again.

I'm playing on the 'regular' server - not the 'test' server.

I have put both types of bags in the container in the farm shed, and also in the recourse storage and it still says they need bags. very frustrating.

Do they ask for tools with the bag missing X/X durability or do you see a red bag icon?
