Crossbow Hunting nerved / very unreliable

It feels like since the last update, hunting got a lot less effective.

About 90% of all iron bolts I shoot with my iron crossbow against stags, moose, wisents and bears fail and do not hit. The arrow just drops to the floor near the animal.

Usually, the bear would flee from me after a 'headshot', but since the last update, it 90% of the time runs towards me and attacks. Shooting it a second time does not suffice.

Did they change something to make them less effective? Is there anything I can change to make them more effective/reliable?

Deer almost always works, but stags (and stronger animals) almost never hit.

I've got no problem : my bolts hit except when i messed up.
I don't one shoot big animals coz my game settings is at 200% hp ennemy
I ve just tried with an iron cross bow and iron bolts and even with a wooden crossbow and wooden bolts.
I will try with a new character to see if hunting level and skills can be the problem.

So no problem with quiete a new character with few points in hunting.
I needed 6 wooden bolts with a wooden crossbow to kill bear with 200% hp enemy.
2 or 3 for boars.

Perhaps u should try to lower to 50% hp ennemy to one shoot animals.

If the bolt drops down before the hit, aim higher. Practice on the target near Gostrova.

Who knew! This is indeed the issue - must have not realized that 200% enemy hp meant difficulty hunting animals. It looked a bit weird when bolts never "stuck" onto animals.
