The seasons ;-)
It was such a long conversation, I'll add something of my own to this new start. I just thought, to add - no matter how many days there are, anyone live in own seasonal days. Someone can enjoy the game scenery a lot. The day is too short, and that's probably why people want more days. Ooh you think; this too :-D.
Is it possible to add more days later? I myself have a 7 day season. Here, too, the night, which is really black, comes too soon. I could also work at night if the nights were brighter.

So at our farm, the entire staff + spouse spends the first day of the season off.

More beds and children ;-)

If you use a nightvision potion (forgot the exact name, could be name cat-eye or something) you'll see very well at night if you want to work through the night too.

Another tip, if you set the game for 30 day seasons, you can opt to sleep to the new season after 3 days, giving you full control of when you want your season to end. I tend to go 3 days in the winter when I have no farm work, longer in other seasons when I have more to get done.

In my experience
3 Days is very balanced
2 Days is nice to speed up, but you need to adapt your Village, specially the farming
above 3 days i would allways choose 30 Days since you can skip from day 3 as barbaraclubb correctly said

Yes, I lack one basic skill. I still can't get my employee to do field work. (I'm ashamed, but that's how it is) They have mentioned to me many times in passing that they would like to work in the field.

Assign them to the shed, make sure you have bags, hoes and sickle or scythe in storage, and the necessary seeds and fertilizer, and then assign the crops you want planted in the field management menu. They will only plant and harvest in the correct season depending on the crops, but ploughing and fertilizing the fields they will do regardless of season.

I'm on six day seasons, though I very rarely go more than three days. For me, having longer season lengths drags on the years too slowly. It took over 40 years before I succumbed to the RNG death machine, which was roughly 700 IRL game hours. I can't imagine playing up to five times that many hours (30 day seasons) in order to live long enough for my heir to take over. And since this is all about the dynasty, I'm trying to keep going, passing through as many generations as I can.

That´s very good tip, but how i assign Emeryl, he understand to go, the field and the worker unite is problematic.

I am in no great hurry to move on. I belong to consider and enjoy. I'm enjoying this beautiful game environment, like a summer house ;-) You know I even have a rotating work list for my staff, there are only four of my staff

You assign him to the shed the exact same way you assign a worker to any other building.
Then you go to the list of your fields, you click the field and open the management page for the field and check the tabs there til you find one where you can set the crops.
