Large house....Ideas

I am an immersive player, and want to build a house, not one of those small simple houses or small houses but a HOUSE( it will be the Manor of the village). While I know I should live in it, I cant justify living in a 4 bedded house and only needing 3 beds, Yes I am that benevolent. I live in a small 3 Bedded house right now.

So on to the question, who should live in the Manor?

If you don't want it for yourself, I think it should be a reward for your most accomplished villagers. Who you consider most accomplished, you'll have to decide yourself. Maybe the people that been with you the longest?
The ones that skilled up to 10 the fastest?
The first one to have a baby?
The one with a daughter/son you want to arrange a marriage for with your own heir later?

Morri, That sounds like my Mumsy/Dadsy, sounds good But I have blond hair and mom/dad have dark???? This game gets so intriguing, could be mom and AP move in and kick dad out or am I adopted....like I said ... I play immersive(maybe to so) ;)

The way houses are in LIF feels better for me. Those even have rooms and upper levels when bigger. And the free placement of furniture and workstations in any room.

If you are playing in the valley you could do what I do. When my son is 18 I pass control to him, this allows my 'old character' to retire. I put them into a large house where they can produce brothers/sisters to 'my new player char'. They also work an easy job in a tavern.

If you are on The Oxbow this option is not available to you.

thanx chris, I agree and built a huge manor for my dad/founder of this great settlement. I have been a real Mirogod( refer to Oxbow) to my father for the last 18years and made him and my mother stay in a small simple house (I feel so ashamed). when my father dies I shall hoist his body to the highest pillar so the village can admire his splendider...oh too much,maybe as the game plays out he will simply pass away, never to be thought of again, his name not even be a whisper on the wind.
