Maximum age of animals. Chickens, etc... when should they be used as meat

There's no clear maximum, since once they reach a certain age it's random every season whether they die, but there's an average life span which you can see when you click on an animal in your list of animals. That would be its normal life expectancy.

I never cull my herd so to speak. I run with 2 fully staffed hunting lodges and build north of Ostoya south of the kidney-shaped lake. There's a ton of deer and moose in that area. In fact, you can do a loop from the lake/marsh area over to the east, then north along the river, and then back west to the other swamp, and finally south to piastova killing only deer, wisent, and moose to generate around 1k meat per season pretty easily...
