Finding the herald?

I currently am playing solo on the Oxboro site and am trying to locate the herald so i can get permission to create my banner and flag and get added to the map for waggoner travel. Any ideas?

It's rng when he comes. At the beginning of each season there is a chance that he will be in/near a tavern. You can recognize him by the trumpet symbol on the map. I check at the start of every season to see if I can find the symbol in Piastovia or my village.

Before you get permission, you first have to complete some big tasks. This is more endgame content and a bit difficult at the beginning.

Can take 3-4 game years to get through it yeah it takes a while. Not really meant to be done early on. As you need to be able to craft a fair bit. So you kind of need your town fairly well established.

Im currently on year 6 Autumn this play through and i had not spotted it yet. I honestly thought that he may not be in the Oxboro server as i had not seen him yet. All my play through in original server hes already popped up a few times. I wasn't sure if this one was different. Thanks for updates.

He was not in the Oxbow before, that is correct, so that's why you hadn't seen him. He was added with the Autumn update though, so from now on, he can show up (randomly at season change).
