Spawning New Horses

Is there a way to get a new horse to spawn in Oxbow? The adults and foals are the exact same pattern. I wanted the bay and the black ones that I saw on my last save, but these are all chestnut appaloosas. I have waited several season changes - I'm my fourth summer into the game.

Whenever you buy a horse, the vendor spawns a new one in a random colour. You can also get a specific colour by breeding, but this takes longer and is also random.

Yeah the unfortunate part is that you can buy them for 3300 but only sell for like 1100 (similar to the price cut on materials bought). So it would be kinda pricey just to buy for a new color spawn. I was hoping there was another way to get them to respawn without buying them up.

You can buy a foal, go and have a look next season, buy the next foal if necessary... The foals will grow up with you, you can breed with them or then sell them as adults, which should reduce the loss somewhat.
