Recruiting outlaws/bandits?

I'm currently playing with my friend on the Oxbow map and I recently found an outlaw sitting at a camp. I was able to talk with him and to recruit him for my village. Unfortunately, I don't remember the location. I can't find anything online about recruiting outlaws. Has this happened to any of you? Or was it a quest/something else?

I would like to recruit an outlaw again, he was 37 years old but his hunting skill was level 6 😅

It's one of the new special recruitable npc's that can spawn randomly. If you didn't recruit him already, he has a chance to spawn again so you'll have another chance of recruiting him, but he might be in a completely different location the next time he spawns.

So is there only one in the game or can I find another recruitable NPC every season?

There a few different ones, but the outlaw one won't spawn again now you already have him. That said, it's RNG, so no guarantee that one will spawn next season.

are you sure about that outlaw not respawning ? because in my last save i had two of him. one i recruited near skauki and one that was sitting next to the entrance of piastovia. and both told me they are outlaws. i also had 2 of the old herbalist ladys that you can find

I was told that if you fail to recruit them, there's always a chance they'll respawn again. So I assumed they don't respawn if you hired them already.
But it seems they can from your experience then. Which is quite interesting. I think I'll be on the lookout only for unique npc's from now on. Would be interesting to see if i can get a playthrough where i only recruit those and populate my village that way.
