I'm sorry, but I personally don't mind it and actually quite like that it creates a need to build a kitchen. :-)
With a 5 Peoples village, how much taxes u could pay there ? :D
But why does the description in the tech tree still state that "Has the Stone Campfire and the Cauldron inside" then? This is what I AM mad about.
This should be clearly communicated (I can't even find a mention in the patch notes)

I highly doubt that anyone would be upset then.
Even if the new fireplace (Looks great, btw. Have seen it on a Screenshot)
would be the default one now. And maybe even not if you had to pay
2-3 Iron Ingots for the cauldron. (If anything else fails, you can still buy them.
Right from the start.)
Just don't lock the cauldron behind tech!
Or at least make it very cheap and available right away with the Small House.
