hunters in Oxbow
Hunters in Oxbow get too little meat in single-player mode. One hunter gets only 3 pieces per season, which is very little. I wrote to the developers, but they are still silent

Upgrading to a hunting lodge II instead of I helps.
Your hunters will also bring more meat when they skill up.

Make sure you also cook their food (roasted meat at minimum, but dishes that add vegetables are better) as raw meat has very little nutritious value and they'll need more of it to feed themselves.

Also; 3 pieces per season? That's odd. My skill 3 hunter in hunting lodge 2 will bring in 17 pieces of raw meat every DAY, not per season.
And I can assign 4 hunters in that building...

I made a mistake, not in a season, but in a day, but it's still not enough. And what is the hunter's level?

It turns out that I only need to do hunting, and not other things, in order to feed 4 people in the settlement

If you look at your villagers, it'll show their skill level: https://imgur.com/a/OiqpjFy

They improve when they are using the skill for their work (maximum skill level is 10), and it makes a lot of difference how well they do. Someone with skill level 2 will produce double what someone with skill level 1 produces.

If you want to see their skill before hiring them, you can use the inspector key in front of a potential recruit (default that's left alt) and it'll show those skills in the same order above their head.

This one only has skill level 2. He'll be better once he levels up.

Also; build a hunter lodge II as soon as you can (you can put it right on top of the old one if you want to automatically destroy the old one) as you will get more meat in there.

And make sure you cook your meat (roasted meat at minimum) because that will last your villagers longer than raw meat.

Playing on the gamepass version and update just hit me, apparently devs divided meat production in the hunting lounge 1 by 10 compared to before coop patch stuff.
Meaning there is absolutely no longer any point whatsoever in building hunting lounge 1 as hunting by hand for 5 minutes is gives "years" worth of production by NPC lol

Also worker's hunter level scaling is linear, level 1 hunter will produce 1.5 meat /1d (in HL 1), level 2 will produce 3/1d, level 3 will do 4.5/1d, etc.,
i.e. 1.5 meat/1d per level of the hunter.

And the most I don't like about the new update is that the heavy use of drugs is now mandatory, the base stamina (along with the water consumption) was nerfed into nonexistence forcing player to administer that sweet dose of the 80% stamina usage reduction regularly to do anything efficiently.

On the plus side the game got a lot more beautiful graphics wise.
