I took a little break from the game and then once they opened up the new map I started randomly playing again, I checked past threads but I didn't see anything recent. My question is: on the new map are we still restricted to 1 child or can we have more children now?

Only one child still. Difference with the old Valley map is that in the Oxbow your child and heir can be female as well (Their sex is determined randomly at birth, so save right before the season-of-birth if you do not want to play a particular gender.)

Thanks for the info Morri, I'm glad they at least made the gender random, hopefully at some point they will allow us to have more than 1 child.
