order of usage: knives

i have stone and iron knives with me. Iron knives will be used first due to alphabetical order? Can i change it, eg to lowest condition first?

For use of the tools in your inventory you will use the tool with the lowest condition first.

I believe the villagers will use the tool with the lowest condition first then use the tool with the lowest durability next. Tools with the highest condition and durability will be used last.

If you equip the stone knife into one of your numbered slots, it will use All the stone knives you carry until gone. Same way it does on axes, etc. Then it will draw them alphabetically. So you can then select again, if desired.
If you have nothing equipped in a slot it uses the top knife alphabetically, when you go to harvest an animal. To overcome this, you have to spend a slot on knives. yes. To be safe, when I go to harvest, I hit my knife number first, then E to harvest. Might be due to past or bugged versions that I do this extra step. Playtest and see.

I use my knives for salvaging prey. I have an iron knife and an stone knife in my inventory, Both with condition 100%. To salvage my prey i hold E.
