No, but if you build something too close to an animal spawn-spot the spawn will be removed.

Right, animals dont care about trees. They only care if there is a building near 75 meters of their spawn point.

Does the spawn point return if you tear down the buildings nearby?

Yes it does. at the begining of the new season the spawn point will be returned.
