To ride a mount, you have to keep in mind that the controls are slightly different than with your character.
When you press forward (W) with your character, it'll automatically turn and start walking in the direction your camera is facing.
Where the camera is facing, is actually where your character is looking. THAT doesn't change when you are on your mount. So when on your mount, your animal can go forwards, but you can still look behind you by turning the camera.
So when on your mount, forward (W) will no longer go in the direction of the camera, instead you'll go forward in the direction your mount is looking.
To change where the mount is looking, simply use the left and right keys (A and D) to "steer" and W to go forward (in the direction it's looking).
It might be easier to understand the principle by switching to 3rd person mode and see how it reacts there.
2. I will give it a try
Thanks Morri :-)
