Why is a stone spear made in a smithy? are they sticking it in the forge and hammering it out on the anvil to connect the rock to the stick?


There is no distinction between technology that does nothing and actual useful things.

I cant tell what is just decoration and what might be a crafting station or something,

and stone arrows i can make in the hunters lodge even tho it says smithy.

This came off more angry than i intended. Im not upset i just had several questions at once and ended up listing them all out rant style sorry.

Cause it requires the workbench, you can also make stone arrows in the smithy btw.

That does not help at all. it sais that it can be used for asthetic perposes and that npcs will some times use it..

Then it has no function other than aesthetic purposes.

there are only a hand full of things that have any use at all in the technology list then which is kind of sad considering how expensive they are.

Stone arrow is the lowest tech level. Level one hunter lodge is pretty low tech.

Wooden spear is the lowest level. It can be hand crafted. It's a bit strange that you would need a work bench to craft a stone spear, but it's a level above the wooden spear. It's probably set up that way to simulate tech progress. I wish that I could make the stone spear in the hunter lodge the same way as stone arrow. They use similar materials anyway.

It definitely would make more sense that you could craft a stone spear before stone arrows. Arrows are much more difficult to make than spears.
