But as market stalls just sell for a certain fixed amount of coin a day (if there's enough product), they'll just sell more of the lower quality food to get to that amount.
Normally workers always take the lowest quality items first; so I think that will be the same for the market stall.
When that soup or meat with gravy ends up in the compost, does the bowl or plate also go to waste?
A good way to use low Quality is also put food items directly in the boxes in the villagers houses. They should eat that first. Also take low quality items to town and sell it yourself if you want to be sure. You will loose the bowl/plates that way.
That you should not be caught stealing and should not sell inferior products. Something along those lines.
