Buildings Limit: how does it work?

Hello, fellow settlers!

I'm playing in the Valley and I was stuck with five constructions; so I raised the Buildings Limit from 100% to 200%: does it mean that I can only have ten buildings? I read elsewhere in this forum that the cap is fixed to seventy, but 200% of five is ten.
Am I missing something?

The building limit in the valley is bound to the chapter quests, doing that questline will increase your building limit (not with EVERY quest if memory serves right, but when you are done with the questline you have the full building limit the game allows).

With building limit set to 200% you will be able to build 140 buildings after finishing the chapter quests, as galadon mentioned.

Building limit will increase with completion of Chapter Quests as stated before:

Chapter I: A New Beginning – limit of 5.
Chapter II: A Survivalist – No increase to limit.
Chapter III: Good Morning My Neighbors – Increases the limit to 10.
Chapter IV: Into the Wilderness – No increase to limit.
Chapter V: A Farm – Increases the limit to 20.
Chapter VI: The Resourcefulness – Increases the limit to 25.
Chapter VII: Starting a Community – Increases the limit to 35.
Chapter VIII: A Big Game – Increases the limit to 45.
Chapter IX: Newcomers – No increase to the limit.
Chapter X: The Dynasty Continues – Increases the limit to 65.

Based on 100% building limit in game settings.
If you set your limit to 200% in game settings you will get 140 building limit after chapter X, not 130.
