Switching houses?

I haven't played in a while, thought I'd try the new map. I've build a couple large cities in the past.

I started with a small house and later on I build me a large rock house. But my guy keeps showing up in a small house and it won't let me kick myself out of the small house. I keep sleeping in the large house, but when Seasons change I wake up in a small house.

I tore the small house down, but it won't let me claim the big house. When I click on the big house, it just lets me move a hired person to move in and not me.

in oxbow, you can click on any available house to do it yourself...

You could get a spouse and move your spouse to the big house, you will automatically move along.
Remove 1 part of the house, making it unfinished, sleep in the big house to assign it to yourself. (repair after season change)

Look at the name board by the door - long press E "Assign to player"

Thanks guys, this above method worked. I'm now assigned to the BIg House.

This way wasn't working for some reason. It would just kick me another house except the big house and kicking another couple in the big house. Not me, anyway it's working now and I'm not moving.
