Medieval Dynasty - Mid-Game Base
Hi everyone, hope you're having a great time with the early access even during these hard times. I just came here for tips for locations where I can build my final village/base. I have reached chapter X in the journal and wanted to move my base a little bit. Any suggestions to where?

There are several threads on this very topic. I have built several villages and, of course that means several restarts, trying different strategies and build sites. By far, the best I have found (for me) is the far west where the river forks (one branch goes North, the other branch goes South. Right there at the road intersection. It is flat enough for several farm fields, you have access to villages other than the starter village, and it sets you up for late-game expansion. Just build smart, and think it through. Ask yourself, "Self, how do I want my village to look in the end?"
Dont forget to take into account for palisades, which are late game, which cant be built too close to the water.

You have a bit of a hike to the northern cave/mine, but I just build a storage building there and a can even build small house for a couple of miners. Placing your village there is also an option but you lose out on the ability to place fishing huts nearby. And trust me, food is more critical (especially in the early game) to the survival of your village. Trees (for lumber and hunting) is rather thin unless you dont mind your folks taking a while to gather it.

Thank you so much for your answer, do you suggest me to destroy the buildings in my first village and build them up step by step or start a new world?

You don't need to build houses there at the mine site at the cave. Just a resource storage building and the mine will do you just fine. Workers begin work as soon as they leave their house in your village and continue working through the course of the work day. they never even have to ever reach the mine for you to get a full productive day. Doubt me? Build A henhouse and completely wall it off. Are you still getting your eggs and feathers from it. See for yourself? Pigsty? Still getting the manure in your resource center even though the worker just stands there outside your wall all day? Thought so. This is a good spot. i built here myself. Put my farms on one side of the bridge going west (Where the wolf spawns for the one kill the wolf mission on the tax collector quest) Build my animal pens across the second bridge and fenced them all in. Hunting lodge and woodcutter between my palisade wall and Denica. Great spot for the Son hunting quests (they have a timer but don't think it actually works).

Either or. But if you decide to move your village build a house before destroying the old one. You have to go through management and take the multiple step process of moving the villager into the new house (this process is easier if they are a family unit and not still singles) but that is better than the hit to happiness from being homeless. also I recommend doing this step at night as its easier to figure out who is in what house at that time.Build a food and resource building there first as well. That way as you move them they don't lose access to supplies at the new location. That is how I moved my village. Pain in the rear and time consuming but at least you don't have to replay everything over again to do it.

This may help you. It show's where most everyone seems to build.

And this guide has some good info as well.
