Question about Villagers needs...
My new Oxbow village is now ready for me to start inviting Residents from the other cities. I have housing all set up, work available and a stockpile of materials, tools, food and water. I have also made summer and winter clothing (1 set of each for each villager). Should these sets of clothing be placed in the resource storage or can I place them in the individual storage of the houses?

For anyone who may be wondering, this is my first time bringing in villagers to reside in my village so I really haven't had any experience with their needs yet. I am not even sure if I need to provide them with clothing so this will be a first for me.

Villagers don't need clothing.
They need water, food and firewood.
you can reduce the need for firewood by building houses out of better materials and insulating them.
If you have a food storage, placing water and food in there is enough.
If you don't have it you will have to bring the things to the chests in inhabited houses.
Same principle applies to firewood in a resource staorage.

As Schalima said if you don't have it yet, make some firewood, they can burn sticks and logs too, but firewood is way more efficient.

You got food and ressource storages set up? They are very usefull since NPCs can get what they nood from them and can store the products they make there.

Ok, thank you @Schalimah and @galadon3. I didn't want to start populating and then have them all complaining about inadequate clothing for the elements.

As for the village, it is all set up with Storages, Smiths, Workshops, Sheds (for Farming, Building etc.), Hunting and Fishing, A Barn and a Windmill, Kitchen, Tavern, Well, Fields and Orchards, Cow Shed, Chicken coop, a Fold, a Stable and, of course, Housing. All that I need to do is go and recruit my Villagers.

Here is my latest setup...

Oh WOW, you REALLY prepared^^
Kudos, I think I wouldn't have the patience to farm the amount of tech-points for that setup alone.
I usually recruit the first villager when I have the storages, hunter, woodshed and a house for them.

Yes and thank you! I was setting up and just didn't want to find that something needed to be built in a hurry. I figure once I have some Villagers, I can plug them into the critical jobs first.

Also, can 1 Villager fill 2 separate jobs? i.e. have the same person tend the Cattle Shed and Sheep Fold?

I suppose I will find out but thank you again for the praise of my meager village. :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

No one job slot per villager, you can rotate them if they have jobs you don't need in a season (for example farmhands as soon as they have done all the fields for the season) but you'd have to do that manually.

Ahhh, okay. Thank you much for the help.

Cheers!
