A well is not needed yet. You can easily fill a bunch of buckets at the river yourself and put them in the food storage for your villagers. Only once you want everything fully automated is a well needed so you can employ a villager to fill up buckets or waterskins.
If you make enough food, water and firewood you regularly put in the chest in their house.
What I would recommend:
- Ressource-Storage and Food Storage (Settlers can take stuff they need to live and work from both and deliver what they produce into them), so you dont need to put the stuff manually into the house- and workshop chests and retrieve it from there.
- Hunter: to have a source of meat you don't need to take care of
- Woodshed: same for logs / firewood
The Well is actually not necessary as long as you produce the water yourself, you can fill buckets in the river. Also I recommend to roast the meat yourself and as soon as you can make some vegetable fields for cabbage wich can be turned into potage (together with meat), you will need a workshop for that though to make wooden bowls.
The Well is only important if you want to have some NPC fill the buckets for you, until you need water for potions and backery stuff I would just do it by myself, the NPCs dont need THAT much water, especially if you make potage, soup etc, since they get some water from that too.

3. You don't need a well, but if you want a villager to collect water for you, then you need a well. But you can also collect water by yourself.

*** oh you must mean the pc reg game. THere is a new Medieval Dynasty: New Settlement VR game for Quest, the regular release is tomorrow for everyone else.
Woodcutter mainly because villagers consume wood for heat, firewood is 2x as efficient as logs, and you need a woodcutter to make firewood.
If you have more than 1 house with villagers, food storage means they all draw from a central source instead of requiring food in each individual house.
The hunter's hut is a poor source of meat. You'll generate far more meat from a single hunting expedition than the village hunters will collect all year.
A hunter's hut does let you dry meat. This is the easiest meat -> edible food conversion.
A well is convenient early on. You don't need a villager working it, though. Water usage by villagers is very low. Fill 10 buckets or so with water and you'll be good for water for a long, long time.
Long term, water skins are better for villager water, because they fill faster, and cooking uses water buckets. If you disable villagers drinking from buckets, you can separate cooking water from drinking water.
Not about the VR version titled New Settlement, which wasn't out yet at the time of this thread.
