Flowers in pots
At the beginning, flowers in pots were no different from those in the wild; they also bloomed only in their season. Then they changed that and they were beautiful all year. But now everything has returned again and the beautiful flower pots on the shelves are only in the summer ((( Is this a bug or a decision by the devs?

It was done intentional as it's more realistic, so not a bug.

Thanks for the quick response. It's a shame (

I almost threw mine out when I had thought they had gone bad. Then the season came for that flower and I was like, oh... I guess it is seasonal.
I think that if it is planted in a pot, it should go with the seasons, if it is flowers that would be considered dried and in a container, it should be fresh looking all the seasons, like when you buy dried flowers, they don't change with the seasons.

lol? Seems like the Devs made a few questionable decisions, lately.
More realistic? Yes, indeed.
Does the game profit? Not at all!!
Why should I place a vase or pot if the flower is only pretty for one season?

Yes, I completely agree! It was possible to make the flowers in any flowerpots outside and in the boxes on the windows obey the seasons, and in the pots that are created in the workshop, they would always be as beautiful as dried ones)

I like the realistic approach and the added variety in how my village looks among the 4 seasons with it.
It is a small detail, but it ads to the differentiation and I personally did not liked looking at perfectly blooming flowers on a harsh day in winter.
Therefore I have to disagree. ;)

It also seems to be the same with window decorations? Awesome when you spend 2 days of a 7 day season just for going through all the 100 houses and 500+ decorations you placed.
Not meaning to curse, but stuff like this is, yes realistic, but not a good design choice. Decoration shall be decoration.
Or give us a checkbox like with dropped food not spoiling.

Well, maybe flowers could change skin during winter.
And for the other seasons, they could maaaaaybe be a little less pretty than full bloom.
But I guess it's peak or dead shrubs, right? 😕

And why not have the petals close overnight too? That would be very realistic.

For me, it's great the way it is, it makes me happier when spring is back.

I agree with simeon. I thought the bright flowers in winter looked weird. I now change the flowers according to season. I just wish we had some more choices than just the 6 we have now. Or herbs, herbs would be nice in pots.

That's why I go for chicory & St John's wort - at least you get 3 seasons of blooms out of each of them

Flowering plants that have been cut from their roots should be pretty year round, otherwise what is the point? Plants in pots, sure, leave as is but I don't have to like it.

The thing with games is like most hobbies. When the minuses outweigh the pluses then folks meander off. Lately there have been a lot of added minuses but the devs have our coins so it probably matters not too much and new folks wont know what once was but is no longer.

Wow fox... If they only cared about the money they wouldn't be trying to pander to the complaints à la "weather is too harsh, weeeeh",
ok let's make it easier the first few seasons.
Now we get "weather is too easy, weeeeeh".

Or, let's change the balance to something more realistic -> "o no, my woodcutter doesn't bring enough logs, it's too hard, weeeeh".
Ok, let's adjust a bit. Now it's "my woodcutter levels too quickly, weeeeh".

If I was the devs I would say you guys could stuff it and i'd move on to another project. Bunch of ingrates.

Well for the woodcutter I'd say that they still should be looking for a middleground^^ (I am just happy the NPC doesnt really cut trees on the map or mine would be a barren wasteland soon^^) but besides yes I agree.

Also "OH MY GOD MY FLOWERS DONT LOOK PRETTY IN WINTER THIS GAME IS A TRAVESTY"... maybe a tiny little bit overblown as a reaction.^^

I just want to scream it from the roof tops! They didn't take anything away, nothing has changed in the Valley gameplay wise!! And if you are bothered about flowers not flowering in winter, you really need to take a hard look at all the new FREE decorations and stuff you did get!!

Don't like the voices? Switch them off.
Want more combat? Go play another game!
Don't like bandit's? Not being able to take over when your heir turns 18? Go back to the valley!!

Bunch of ungrateful people, bleh!
