Using AI is fine. What point are you trying to make?

my point is that its lazy and sounds awful, when you hear the static nature of ai voices over almost every voice line you hear it ruins the immersion that one can have, picture this, a serious situation is going on (pic what you want that to be) and ur talking to an npc but after every word they speak you hear static and distortion in the voice wouldnt you get annoyed at hearing that all the time?

This is subjective, as I do not hear any such thing. All I hear is a voice as if a person was speaking. You do not like the voices, fair enough, but stop calling something lazy solely because you dislike it.
If it's AI (and by that I assume you mean "synthesised") then it's exceptionally good as the voices mostly sound pretty natural to me and as for "static" I've heard no such thing.

The only think about the voices that I've noticed is that the kids really sounds just like adults that's trying to mimic a kid, and they sound absolutely awful. I'm muting the sound when ever a kid is talking.

I'm not hearing any static or AI voices.

I just thought they are voice actors that are not top tier and/or not english native speakers...., didn't occur to me it could be ai generated.

I had the feeling something is very slightly off about the voices, but i didn't notice static or thought artificially generated...
If Ai did the voice, the children's voices would sound more like children's voices.

The few Ai voices I've heard so far (outside the game) still lack expression. The voice of the beekeeper in my village, who is a woman, is quite convincing in her panic with the bees in her eyes. She's my favorite.

I don't think it is AI honestly. I would find it interesting to know, if what they are actually saying is a placeholder though. The memes were decently funny in the beginning, but if I know hear another kid shout "kameh hameh ha!" I feel like turning voices off :D of "i wish i could turn back time. I would make you mine". If there were modtools, I would actually make proper immersive voicelines myself with AI and insert that. Those peasants, instead of talking about the stones I carry around, would great me properly "good morning, sire!".

They have done something weird to the voices in Racimer's Valley. They used to be charming with a decided eastern European flavor, now they are weird, flat and sound like they're from eastern LA. Sometimes change isn't really progress. I am talking about the npc's. The villagers are just bland but the npc.s in other villages, especially older ones are just weird now.

I like hearing voices in the village, but I am really sick of being asked if there is a weight lifting contest, or if I am an aspiring mule, or if I want to put the stuff down they will "watch the stuff for me" or they hope that when they grow up they will be able to carry as much as I can or comment something about being greedy and having a lot of possessions. There are way to many comments about weight. I feel like I am being punished for turning off carry weight.

I mean u have carry weight limit off so of course the devs added some cheeky remarks to players doing so, its like old games were if u played on easy mode some games made fun of you for being a "baby" and "not being good enough" give the reason to play harder difficulties

I like the devs cheekiness but there is just too much and it quickly gets very old. One or two occasional comments would be OK. Five or six being repeated constantly is annoying.

well i mean no carry limit is a form of cheating so i guess it makes sense to spam you with it
