When do Villagers marry ?
How long does it take for the first villagers to marry and move in together ? I have around 14 Vilagers now, roughly half men and women each, but everyone lives in his or her house alone and complains about being lonely.

Do you have to do anything for them to marry, or does it just take some time ?

You need to put a man and a women into the same house and after a random period of time (several seasons) they will become "married". There needs to be an age gap of no more than, actually I can't remember I think 10 years but someone may correct me, between their ages.

You can put an unmarried man and an unmarried woman in the same house; the more similar the ages the sooner they seem to marry (from my experience). Max age gap is 10 years between the pair

You have to if you want them to start a family.

That's not correct; it's 20 years for npc's. Every season they then have a chance to get married, but the chance is higher the closer they are in age. And every season they are living together, the chance increases.
And once they are married, each season change the wife has a chance to get pregnant as long as there is still a free bed in their house.

Alright, thanks. I was wondering when they start to marry, but somehow thought i can only put one "family" in each house, even when thats only a single person.

Does not seem to work. When i try to place someone in a house with someone already living in it, the old occupant gets thrown out and is without a home.

Its allways a fiddling around with Jobs when all the Womas are Pregmant in the Town.

Make sure you are not trying to put 2 of the same sex in a house as it will not accept them & 1 will get replaced if you try.

When you put 2 people together it's with the goal of them marrying and having a baby. So like bastetkeen said; they have to be of the opposite sex.
