Report a translation problem
They can be created quite well but npcs crossing will still have their feet at the bottom of the river. so try to pick shallow places. Many examples have been posted and are on You-Yu be.

Would be nice, if you can place wood logs and planks accurate and they will stay there. But they move and roll most of the time :( So yes, you can build this with hours of patience, but its a pain ...
If it is an engine limitation, how does it work for the pre-made ones?

It is not an engine limitation, that user was mistaken. It's just that the developers haven't added such a thing.
