Is this game still in Early Access? Fully released?
If it's not in EA, then why is it updating every 8 hours like it's just been released as a beta? I've grown weary of buying or continuing with games that are perpetually broken, never "complete", and the constant tinkering and fixing, then breaks 100 other things that they never tested. Starting to feel like an unpaid employee for this company who is putting out endless fixes to their product that they never, themselves, are testing. This is just becoming normal and too commonplace on Steam, IMO.

Just one man's opinion. Flame away.

To be fair; it was pretty stable til about 2 weeks ago when a major co-op update released and the game got reworked almost completely.

I could not find the new blackscreen in the roadmap o_O

The game is fully released but the co-op part is new and is constantly being updated. I don't know... everywhere people are crying that there aren't enough bug fixes and here they're crying that there are too many... what do you prefer, that errors stay in the game or that they are fixed.

They just releases a big update with a 2nd map, co op and character customization. There are bugs and issues with that update revolving around co op that they are trying to fix and get stable as well as some other bugs and tweaks needing fixed.

It was stable before the big update. I have not run into many issues playing solo on the new map.

The standard game is a full release and the Co-Op is still a work in process. Think of it as a free DLC separate from the regular game. The standard game still gets attention from the Dev's to increase it's overall quality. That's why people like this Dev group so much.

How DARE developers continue to support their games lol

The only issue here is that there was a decision to release directly to public branch right after finishing closed beta, instead of doing additional public staging for some month, before putting it live for all players, similarly like during all the previous updates (after the game left Early Access).

Constant updates are a good thing.

You don't have to update games if you don't like. Your problem is cause by you and no one else.

You obviously are new to gaming. Be glad for the bug fixes. It's a small dev group, an indie game so they are gung ho to get everything right, quickly. This update was massive so there's lots to go wrong and sometimes the fixes make other things to sideways. Such is gaming. If it's too much for you then maybe good quality games with enthusiastic devs aren't your bag.

Go play Starfield. BGS just might be your kind of dev group.
There's always tabletop games but the damn pencils keep breaking.

Really? So you think it is easy to add to game that has to be compatible with literally millions of different hardware setups? Go back to whatever hole you crawled out of.

Not true (for me anyways) From the front page there was no Play button only Update button since I last played in August,
I had no choice.
It's Update or Don't play! I did not want to update because I did not want multiplayer. I did look around first, This new update is just a double game that allows you to play the old one as before.
( But now that I've played a bit I see you don't HAVE to play Co-Op so it's okay I just started a new solo game.) But it's really two separate games. I guess that's why you HAVE to update.

Steam updates games automatically when there's an update available. The devs have no control over that.
The co-op update comes with a new map (the Oxbow) that you can play solo as well. It has a different story and some mechanics differ, but you can still play the old map (the Valley) if you like. Keep in mind that there have been some balance changes in pricing, animal behaviour, production values etc on the old map as well.

If you still like to play the old version from before the co-op update though, you can still redownload it by opting into the last_build beta branch: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1129580/discussions/0/4027970229982132939/
