Suddenly character is no longer moving

Have had a couple attempts where I've been actively doing something (picking reeds, chopping trees, collecting stones) and suddenly my directional keys aren't moving me. I'm very early in game, I haven't even built my first house yet.

I'm still able to jump and interact with creation menu. even using "unstuck" option will move my character to another position (which once has been on a tree) but I'm not able to move anywhere. tried saving and loading to have the same issue when I get back, and was only able to load an earlier save to be able to continue but lost a lot in the process.

I am running Linux and have had this issue running in Proton 8.0 and Experimental so far.

I have noticed this has happened after collecting something.
Did notice it happen when trying to move and collect at the same time, But doing that deliberately didn't do anything, and specifically making sure to not be actively moving while collecting and it has happened as well.

Recently found it happening in a similar area when I tried going back to the same spot it happened, but happened at an earlier point of where I my character moved through.

Check your inventory weight, sounds like you are carrying too much and are emcumbered

Don't. We all make mistakes like that once in a while. You asked a question, described the problem properly, and gave plenty of information for people to work with. Compare that to others who go on to yell and scream about how broken the game is when they find themselves in the same kind of situation you did.
