... yes, I was, but now it's getting boring:
As a single player I have completed 46 main quests (including those of all the leaders), have already completed all of the noticeboard's orders (the same ones several times), have completed all of my residents' orders (several times), I am in year 8 with a husband and a child, have 152160 reputation points, 64 buildings and 66 residents, a crazy amount of money, all skills at 10
... and for 7 years now the task: "Looking for ways to make the Oxbow a better place" - so how?!?
Can this quest even be completed?

I don't know and I'm not sure anyone else does :-) Initially at least we thought it meant doing those main quests that lead to replacing the leaders of several villages ("She Wolf" for example. Beyond that I'm assuming it just means doing quests that help people.

But, maybe, yeah, dunnno.

it seems to be a running quest, can't be completed. simply the main overall goal, not really a quest.

Yes, I think so too - it would be very nice if a developer would confirm this, as there have already been a number of questions about this in the forum and you actually spend useless time completing countless quests (which unfortunately are always repeated)...

I thought I had read comments claiming to of completed it, but players didnt know how/what they did, other than talking to the leaders of villages, and doing some small quests.

I've seen forum posts of people having completed it. From what I remember trigger seems to be time and doing quests in other villages. But I'm not reading those in detail cause I don't want to spoil it for myself.

Yes, some people say this, but I haven't seen any proof yet, so it could be just trolls. The developers should give some statement on it, at the moment, no one knows if the quest is never-ending, a placeholder or just a bug.

Why do people feel the need to have everything handed to them. Personally I think it is awesome that there is a quest you can't just go and do but is more involved.

I don't want to be guided, but I would like to know if the quest can be completed in the current state of the game or not. I have 150h in my Oxbow playthrough, 20k reputation, have done all other quests, and have spoken with every single NPC. So I guess there is no completion or it is bugged, but I don't know, and that's the point.

yes, that's exactly the point - I would really like to know if this quest can be completed (not how), because for me, as a perfectionist, having an unfinished task bothers me enormously. My city is running perfectly and I don't really have any challenges anymore, which is actually a bit boring...

It looks like that, instead of giving us all the story quests at once, like the valley does, the Oxbow has quests that are gated behind the game year, town development stages, and other factors.

"Stay Vigilant" looks to be a note that you have not yet found all of those story quests, and therefore that you have not yet completed the story. When it DOES complete, you can be sure you have seen 100% of the story quests.

It's reputation based from what I can see. Do lots of quests, get that rep up and with time the quest should continue.

Does that mean you were able to progress the quest further or is it just a guess?
Because in the meantime I have 221119 dynasty reputation, a city, 86 inhabitants and 70 buildings and do all quests in every season
