start of the game, find straw

hello I must be a bit blind lol ... but I can't find the straw at the beginning of the game
can someone help me please?

I'm going up the river as indicated in the guide but I can't find it

collect reeds on the river bank, that is the straw.

Thanks man;) But I must go a long way from the village and cross the bridge where there is one near the first village?

there are reeds around the village, I cant remember if their at every entrance or just one. If I remember correctly, with your back towards the doctors house turn left and follow the path out the village and the reeds should be on you left.

There are reeds right outside the gate that has a bridge on the left and the recruitable travelers on the right. It is right by the water.
